ArvaSEO tells you why each attempt didn't work. The most common reasons:
The meta tag wasn't found
- Make sure it's in the
<head>of the homepage (not another page, and not the body). - Clear any page cache or CDN cache, then try again: ArvaSEO may be seeing an older copy of the page.
- If the homepage redirects (for example from
example.comtowww.example.com), the tag must be on the page it ends up on.
The DNS record wasn't found
- Check the record type is TXT and the value is copied exactly, without extra quotes or spaces.
- Add it to the domain you entered in ArvaSEO, not a subdomain.
- DNS changes can take a few hours to appear. Try again later.
The website blocked the check
Firewalls and CDNs (Cloudflare, Hostinger CDN, Sucuri and others) sometimes challenge automated visits. ArvaSEO recognises these and says so. Allow the user agent ArvaSEO-Bot in your firewall, or use the DNS method instead, which doesn't visit the website.
