Arva Assistant is a chat about your website, built into Arva SEO. Ask anything in plain words, and it answers from what Arva SEO knows: your latest website check, your pages and, once it's connected, your Search Console data. It's in Beta, so check its suggestions before you use them.
Open it
Choose Arva Assistant in the sidebar, then pick the website at the top. Each website has its own chats: New chat starts one, and the chat list shows earlier ones by day. Older messages load as you scroll up. Dashboard leaves the chat for your dashboard.
New accounts can start here too: Arva offers to guide you, and Continue to dashboard leaves whenever you like.
Where to start
A new chat shows a line of facts about your website, then:
- The SEO cycle: its stages, each with a dot for how far along it is. Choose a stage to ask Arva about it.
- Next steps picked from your website's real state, each with why it matters. They follow the SEO cycle, but you can work on any stage in any order, or just ask your own question. A step that can't start yet says what unlocks it.
- An optional goal, such as More enquiries. Arva keeps it in mind when it suggests what to do. Change or clear it with the goal at the top of the chat.
Ask, then pick a next step
Type your question and press Enter (on a phone, the send button). Under Arva's latest reply, up to three buttons offer a next step: a question is sent straight away, a website check starts, a link opens that page, and work that costs something is filled in for you to send when you're ready.
- Add your details puts a sentence in the message box for you to finish, such as "My main services are …", when Arva needs to know more. Nothing is sent until you send it.
- Switch to and a website's address, such as Switch to example.com, opens a new chat on that website. Arva offers it when you ask about another of your websites (see Work on another website below).
- The × on a suggestion (Not now) hides it on this website for two weeks. Undo brings it straight back.
- Copy and Try again sit under each reply, with a thumbs up and down to say how it did. After a thumbs down, you can tell us what Arva should have done better.
Walk me through on a problem from your website check starts a chat about that problem and the pages it affects most.
Ask Arva to prepare work
Choose + beside the message box:
- Check website: starts a check straight away. Or ask Arva, such as "Check my website again": it starts the check when your plan has checks left, and the results appear in the chat.
- Improve titles & descriptions: pick up to three pages for new SEO titles and meta descriptions.
- Content brief: type a topic, and Arva plans the page with headings and questions to answer.
- Keyword research: find topic matches, then review them.
Prepared work appears in the chat as a card, with its own next steps. Work that hasn't started yet shows Stop: stopped work doesn't run and uses nothing.
Save what you tell Arva
When you tell Arva about your business, such as your services, where you work or who your customers are, it offers to save those details to the website's business profile (Brand profile in Website settings), so the titles, descriptions and briefs it prepares use them. The card shows what the profile says now: choose Add to it or Replace it for each detail, then Save to business profile. Not now saves nothing.
Nothing changes until you approve it
Review and edit what Arva prepares, then save it to Arva SEO. Keywords are saved only when you choose them. Nothing on your website changes until you choose Apply to website (on WordPress, when the site's administrator allows it), and Verify live pages then checks the live pages.
What it costs
Chat replies are free. Up to 300 a month in each workspace; after that, the Assistant pauses until the 1st, while your own AI key and connected AI assistants keep working. Anything that costs something shows its cost before it starts: in the + menu, on the button and on the send button. Free things show no cost.
- Titles and descriptions use 1 AI credit a page, and a content brief 5. With your own AI key, no credits are used.
- Check website uses one of your plan's website checks, and Keyword research a keyword research lookup.
Chatting and AI work need Arva SEO AI credits switched on for your workspace, or your own AI key. If they're off, an owner or admin can switch them on in Connections → AI, or with Switch on AI credits in the chat, and everyone else sees who can. Choose Claude or OpenAI in Connections → AI; owners/admins confirm. Website checks and keyword research work without them. People with view-only access can't start work, and AI work needs a confirmed email address.
Work on another website
Each chat is about one website. To work on another, choose the website menu at the top of the chat, where it shows the website's address. Or ask Arva, for example "Improve the titles on example.com", and choose Switch to example.com: a new chat opens on that website with your message in the box, ready to send (when you only asked to switch, the box starts empty). Your chats stay with their website. To add a website, choose Add a website in the same menu. When your plan's websites are all in use, it shows your plan's options.
Your chats
Your chats are private: other people in your workspace don't see them. Work you save from a chat, such as keywords, briefs and new titles, is shared with your team in the website. Archive or delete a chat from the chat list.
